I never want my woman to submit to me simply because she is a woman.
Fight me till we're both blue in the face, second-guess me, scrutinize my every decision. If I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, then we will find the right answer together.
Well if she (the woman you marry) understands God's divine purposes for Christian men and women in marriage, she'll submit to you simply because she loves God and wishes to obey Him, not just because she's a woman. Ephesians 5:21-33, 1 Corinthians 11:3.
The Bible is obsolete. God is a misogynistic voyeur.
I'm very tempted to say that "if a woman has to submit, I'd rather be a man" but I've learnt to accept who I am, so instead, I choose not to believe in God or the Bible.
the very fact that there is such an imperative suggests that submission is a choice to begin with. If there wasn't a choice, then why mention it in the first place?
So note that the wife isn't forced into submission; she voluntarily refrains from asserting herself, in light of preserving order. This is an act of strength, not an act of weakness, as many are prone to think.
2. The man is accountable
remember that at the end of the day, it's the man who is accountable for every decision made in his household. For example, even though Eve took the fruit first and gave Adam afterward, God called Adam accountable, first.
in other words, if there's anything that's wrong in a family, it's ALWAYS the man's fault. so if he's responsible, isn't it only fair that he gets the final say?
3. The man's parallel is no easier
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church."
And we all know the extent of that love.
If submission is really that hard, try taking on the other challenge; to give your life up for your spouse. Literally.
In closing, my question is this: How difficult is it, really?
If your husband is a man who's willing to give his life up for you, is it too much to ask for you to submit to him in response, out of love? is it really?
It is the man's role to lead, love and protect his wife and family. if you are an assertive wife challenging his authority at every juncture, just think of how happy your home will be.

Like Shirley Keeldar from Charlotte Bronte's Shirley said, "...it degrades to stoop--it is glorious to look up."

I want someone to submit to me because I'm right. No other reason.
A helper should help by turning me away from wrong paths, instead of blindly following silently without complaint wherever I go.

actually, i dont get that either. i mean, why does a woman have to submit to the man?
haihs.. here we go again.
i have 3 points:
1. The bible implies equality
the very fact that there is such an imperative suggests that submission is a choice to begin with. If there wasn't a choice, then why mention it in the first place?
